Kick off!

The INETA activities for the new year have kicked off with my presentation at NED University on Introduction to the .NET Framework on January 8, 2005 at 2:00 pm. The second session was on January 15, 2005 at 2:00 pm on Data Access Patterns, which was delivered by Mr. Hammad Rajjoub and Mr. Adnan Farooq. During this event, we also launched the NED.NET User Group MSDN Webcasts Archive Library Vol I CD.
The great thing about arranging a seminar at NED is that you have to do everything on your own, so I was caught up with all the down and dirty work of arranging the seminar from getting the banner ready to bringing and returning the projector, the extension power cords to several other hurdles.
Next event is expected on Jan 29, 2005. Stay tuned.

SCONEST 2004 held

I am very pleased with the execution of SCONEST 2004. After having put in a tremendous amount of effort in planning the event, the event day execution was very good. There was good media coverage as well. Both days, December 29, 2004 at Jinnah University for Women, and December 30, 2004 at PAF KIET went well and finished on time.
In between, my photograph while presenting a paper for one of the authors on the first day, appeared in the Daily Jang of December 30, 2004.
Talking of that presentation, I have received quite a bit of praise for it, and several people said that they couldnt tell that it was not my paper. Alhamdulillah for that. I did feel that I could have done better. But it's the realization of an endless improvement cycle that is the way to progress.
Now we are going to do the financial closing of the event and then plan the next event.
